The Apply Yourself Workshop
The Apply Yourself Workshop is a student planned program designed to engage DGS students as they prepare to apply for an intercollegiate transfer. This workshop offers in-depth tutorials on essay writing, resume building what admissions officers are looking for in an application package, and tips for formulation a plan while here at the University of Illinois.

What the Workshop Includes
The Apply Yourself theme this year hinges on four proactive verbs: designing, constructing, building, and hammering. All attendees will kick off the evening with an introductory presentation, Designing Your Blueprint: Application Preparation.
Following the group meeting at the beginning, there will be three workshops which everyone will attend: Constructing an Essay, Building a Resume, and Hammering It All Out.
Participants engage in in-depth tutorials on essay writing, resume building, what admissions officers are looking for in an application package, and tips for formulating a plan while here at the University of Illinois.
