DGS Council

DGS Council is a group of current and former Division of General Studies students who get together to talk about major and career exploration. This is a great way to get to know other DGS students, build leadership skills, and know yourself better.

DGS Council is made up of an Executive Board and general members. The goal of the group is to plan events, workshops, and volunteer opportunities helpful to exploring students.

All are welcome at DGS Council meetings, regardless of where you are in the exploration process.

Why should you join DGS Council?

  • Explore majors and careers in a fun, social atmosphere
  • Listen to speakers from a variety of places to help students utilize more resources
  • Help plan events for the semester like our Hot Chocolate Meet and Greet
  • If you are unsure of what you want to do and want to meet people who feel the same
